Films and Theatrical Performances

Theatrical plays, like Makriyannis Unplugged by Yorgos Karamihos co-produced with UCLA's Stavros Niarchos Foundation Center for the Study of Hellenic Culture, and three plays based on the Archives of Stratis Myrivilis (see a dramatization of his Song of the Earth), as well as films are significant activities that bring an eager and different audience to Cotsen Hall. One of the events that filled the auditorium was the first screening in Greece of the restored documentary film With the Greeks in the Firing Line (1913) with historical commentary by Dr. Vassiliki Tsitsopoulou of Indiana University.
