SCOPE AND CONTENT

The records document the history, organization, and function of the Gennadius Library of the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ: from the announcement of John Gennadius’s gift of his library to the ASCSA in 1923 and the official opening of the building in 1926 until the present day. The organization of the material has followed Helen Samuel’s Varsity Letters: Documenting Modern Colleges and Universities, while respecting any pre-existing order. The Gennadius Library records have been organized into eight thematic series.
