Research Topic: Cult Practice and Expressions of Gender in the Late Bronze Age through Early Iron Age Aegean
Lauren is a 4th year PhD student in the Interdepartmental Program in Ancient Mediterranean Art and Archaeology at the University of Michigan. She has participated in field projects in Italy, Ireland, Greece, and the American Southwest. For the past three years, she has worked on a project that investigates the ceramic material from the Bronze Age settlement of Ayia Irini on Kea. Lauren’s research focuses on religion and ritual in the Aegean Bronze Age and Early Iron Age with interests in questions of continuity and expressions of gender in cult spaces.
