Research Topic: The Fountain of Poseidon from an Epigraphical and Architectural Point of View
Laura Nastasi completed her PhD at the University of Manchester. In her doctorate, she investigated language use and language contact between Latin and Greek based on the analysis of the inscriptions from Roman Corinth. During her time as a Robinson Fellow at the ASCSA, she will undertake an interdisciplinary side project with the archaeologist Anna Sophie Ruhland. They will analyse two inscriptions that were part of the corpus of Corinthian inscriptions she discussed in her dissertation and their significance for understanding the architecture of the western part of the Roman Forum in Corinth in the Early Imperial Period.
