Research Topic: Settlement Dynamics in the Ancient Chora of Metaponto: An Archaeological Investigation into the Social, Political, and Economic History of the Countryside
Eric is a fourth year PhD student in the Department of Greek and Roman studies at McMaster University. His thesis involves analysis of pottery from the Greek city of Metaponto in Southern Italy, where he has excavated and participated in archaeological field survey. His research interests include Greek ‘colonization,’ ceramic production, and the development of the polis.
