Research Topic: The Fountain of Poseidon from an Epigraphical and Architectural Point of View
Anna Sophie Ruhland is currently working on her PhD thesis (Tübingen University and Mainz University, Germany) about the public architecture of the city center of Early Imperial Corinth, especially addressing questions of aesthetics. As a Robinson fellow at the ASCSA, she will undertake an interdisciplinary side project with Dr Laura Nastasi who has been investigating language use in the inscriptions of Roman Corinth in her PhD thesis. They will analyze two inscriptions and discuss their significance for the architecture of the western part of the Roman Forum in Corinth in the Early Imperial Period.
